With 22 days until the primary (only ten until early voting begins!), the Clinton campaign announced its campaign team for the state yesterday. John Fritze has the story.

Adam Parkhomenko, the political operative who founded the Ready for Hillary super PAC, will lead Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in Maryland, an aide said Monday.

Clinton’s campaign announced several staff appointments in the state, including Parkhomenko and Quincey Gamble, a veteran political operative and Baltimore native, who will serve as a senior adviser to the campaign.
Parkhomenko, who previously served as the campaign’s director of grassroots engagement, founded “Ready for Hillary,” the super PAC created to draft Clinton into the race. Gamble is former executive director of the Maryland Democratic Party, adviser to former Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown and political director of 1199SEIU — one of the state’s most politically active labor groups.
The campaign said that Charles Niquette will serve as the campaign’s organizing director. Julie McClain is the communications director. Jazz Lewis will serve as the state’s political director. Lewis is on loan from his regular job as the executive director of Rep. Steny Hoyer’s campaign. Hoyer, the Southern Maryland Democrat, has long been a Clinton supporter and has been active for the campaign in Maryland and elsewhere.
