Glenn Ivey is the first CD4 candidate to buy broadcast TV air time, reports the Post.
Maryland congressional hopeful Glenn F. Ivey (D) has purchased about $16,000 worth of television air time, the first candidate in the 4th District contest to do so.
Ivey will air 30-second spots on WRC-TV Channel 4 and WUSA Channel 9, according to records from the Federal Communications Commission.
One ad will begin airing this week and is titled “New Low.” In it, Ivey, a former Prince George’s County state’s attorney, accuses Republicans of disrespecting President Obama.
Not much of an ad buy at $16K, but it is the first. Not sure how much TV there will be from any of the candidates, certainly not compared to the nuclear war going on in neighboring CD8.
