The race has been called already, but when I said Hillary is set up for a pretty big delegate haul coming out of the state, I wasn’t kidding.
She is leading 71% to 21%, still, with 26% of the vote in. If this margin holds she will take home 40 delegates, while Sanders will only come away with 11.
Where things stand right now in Nebraska, were Sanders won earlier tonight, Sanders is currently at 14 delegates awarded to Clinton’s 11. We still do not know what the vote or delegate total is from Kansas, but it is likely Sanders’ net gain from there will be similar to his gain in Nebraska.
So in one fell swoop, Clinton has wiped out Sanders’ small delegate gains, and then some. This is the perfect example as to why the race between Clinton and Sanders is all but over.
